BLACKFISH Documentary - say NO to Seaworld.. SAVE the ORCAs

Hello loves!!
Its been a mundane monday!
So for those of you fighting the blues, thought i'd like to share something worth reading/watching.. especially if you are an animal lover...
Truth is: i was a fan of Seaworld as long as i could remember.. my whole life, i grew up with them, having fond of my childhood memories after watching their shows in Orlando & San Diego, loving the Shamus and the sea creatures .. thinking ohh how awesome they were. and how spectacular their stunts were..

And infact i was still a fan of Seaworld..  until a senior trainer that usually trains with these orcas died in Florida in 2010.. a horrifying accident during one of their intimate show with audience...
Wow.. that tragedy took the world's headlines. then, everything about these orcas were magnified.. and how the trainer unfortunate death suddenly becomes questionable..

In 2013, came this documentary like a light at the end of tunnel..
A beautiful story, this documentary highlights on the captivity of Tilikum, the orca which was involved in the deaths of three individuals, and as the consequences of keeping orcas in captivity.
A true story which we never thought we were able to see its existence after ' Free willy movie' cos I actually thought Seaworld was never like that...

The coverage of Tilikum's story begins with his capture in 1983 off the coast of Iceland, and purported harassment by fellow captive orcas at Sealand of the Pacific, incidents that director Cowperthwaite argues contributed to the orca's aggression and also includes testimonial from Lori Marino, Director of Science with Nonhuman Rights Project

In this movie, Cowperthwaite also focuses on SeaWorld's claims that lifespans of orcas in captivity are comparable to those in the wild, typically 30 years for males and 50 years for females, a claim the film argues is false. She also highlights Interview subjects of former SeaWorld trainers, such as John Hargrove, who describe their experiences with Tilikum and other captive whales.
"BLACKFISH, an eye-opening documentary directed by Gabriela Cowperthwaite. Many of us have experienced the excitement and awe of watching 8,000-pound orcas, or "killer whales," soar out of the water and fly through the air at sea parks, as if in perfect harmony with their trainers. Yet, in our contemporary lore this mighty black-and-white mammal is like a two-faced Janus-beloved as a majestic, friendly giant yet infamous for its capacity to kill viciously. BLACKFISH unravels the complexities of this dichotomy, employing the story of notorious performing whale Tilikum, who-unlike any orca in the wild-has taken the lives of several people while in captivity. So what exactly went wrong? Shocking, never-before-seen footage and riveting interviews with trainers and experts manifest the orca's extraordinary nature, the species' cruel treatment in captivity over the last four decades, and the growing disillusionment of workers who were misled and endangered by the highly profitable sea-park industry. This emotionally wrenching, tautly structured story challenges us to consider our relationship to nature and reveals how little we humans have learned from these highly intelligent and enormously sentient fellow mammals.
Bottomline this documentary movie opens up how this organisation like Seaworld mistreated these animals and single handedly made billions of these whales all these years...

Don't worry as this video is purely PG13 video...
After watching all these videos & interviews, i felt like my entire childhood innocence has been robbed by Seaworld for showing us the false lives of these animals - a show which shouldn't be at the first place. I never thought Seaworld was exactly like the bad guys in the Free Willy movie. ..

I also despise the fact that these beautiful animals like Tilikum were taken, captured, thus separated from their family for years.. nonetheless tortured, trapped and put in captivity for his entire life! I feel so sorry for the poor animal - its no wonder she has gone psycho!
Imagine us being locked up in a room for 30 years , definitely we'll have our brains losing one screw!

So dear friends, lets BOYCOTT Seaworld and BANN OUR CHILDREN from watching these useless entertainment and start educating them about these animals.

We have a right to make a better future for our kids!!
Below is  the interview with the director and snippets of its documentary movie.
You may shed a tear after seeing how evil this Seaworld is!!
